It was a funny competition because most bots weren’t programmed well so most of them were misbehaving. My bot’s name was ‘LMNTRIX’. I named it after the crew in the “Step up” movie. Even though my bot wasn’t that good, it got me to third position. As shown in Figure 1, the two bots fighting are LMNTRIX (the black one with a yellow board) and Jaren. SUMO BOT COMPETITION Fuad Abdallah, August 23, 2021. This week had a very exciting start with a sumo bot competition. The sumo bot competition is a sport in which two robots attempt to push each other out of a circle.  We were assigned to create a sumo bot for this competition. The time was limited and the work that had to be completed before the deadline was huge. So it was evident that we had to work a lot in order to complete. THE ROBOT CHALLENGE

  Bwere, Daniel E. The week started with a hectic challenge of designing sumo robots to contest in the sumo robot challenge. The sumo robot had to be a three-wheeler: a single all-round wheel and two servo-driven wheels.  A lot had to be done which would help practise the skills gained on 3D printing, laser cutting and Arduino. My idea was to play both defense and offense. Coding and challenges

“It takes two flints to make a fire”, this saying defines the mood of this week. It all started with the Arduino basics, which to somewhere new concepts. We were given a brief introduction to Arduino (Arduino Uno to be specific), its pins (analog and digital pins), how it works, the power pins and the power that Arduino accepts. We also learnt about  how it can communicate with the computer. We were given a brief on how to write codes in Arduino in order for it to communicate with the computer. “Comments, comments.
